Getting Photograph of the Author

I downloaded a program (HELLO and PICASSO) that was supposed to make posting photographs to the BLOG easy, but it sure doesn't look easy to me! Actually, I had no problem before posting a photo along with a text post; but can I get a photograph to go into my profile? NO!!!

I think I'm going to go to bed and worry this problem tomorrow.

Author at the Foz du Iguazu

Well, I'm gradually learning this process -- I finally managed to get a picture posted. But Bop-op says I have it where my personal picture ought to be. I think the picture I have (of the Falls of the Iguassu) is much nicer to look at. However, I have another picture of me that I have excerpted out of a larger photo taken at a recent gathering of the Z-clan. I might put it up later. But first I have to see if I can post a picture.
Yep! as you can see on the left above; that's me standing on the viewing platform from which the photo was taken that is shown on the right of my blog.
Gosh. What'll I do next?

Unintended Consequences

Well, I can see that the list of people I wanted to see my BLOG, which I made and was sent out, turned out to be a list of people I was inviting to contribute to it! This totally changes my idea about what I wanted this blog to be. How do I politely tell all you people whom I invited that I really don't want to turn this into a sort of discussion group -- there are too many and too diverse a group of you out there for that, I fear.
I apologize for the misunderstanding. I hope you will forgive me on the basis that I am just a doddering old neophyte at this here blogging stuff!!

Hello My World!!

This is my first posting on my primal BLOG; I am hoping that by this means I may be able to show the fantastic world, comprised of (ed: delete "my", replace with "Mother's and my") Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, as well as my surviving siblings, Bob and Hazel, some thoughts and some photographs of what makes my life worthwhile.
