Clark County School District 112 --
Grumpy started his education in a country school. But that was then and now we have Green Mountain Elementary School where Jamey G. and Arthur attend. The school of Grumpy's memory and the school where Jamey and Arthur attend are totally different! For one thing, the Green Mountain school has the boy's and girl's restrooms inside!! There are other differences as well, some of which you will see as you read this POSTing.
Finally, there was Arthur, who daintily placed his jacket at the top of the slide "so he didn't get his pants wet from the rained-on slide"! See the slide show of the sequence, using a 1 second interval.
Grumpy was truly honored to have had this opportunity to witness a bit of his Great Grandsons' education. How different was their school compared to that of their Great Grandfather; and how different were these boys' achievements compared to their Great Grandfather -- he got a big, fat zero on his first Math paper!! Oh, for shame!!!

Grandpa, these are great posts, and fairly representative of what actually happened too!
ReplyDeleteOne point of minutae: we're in Clark County. The border between Lewis and Clark counties is the north fork of the Lewis river, which you cross to the south side of when entering onto Cedar Creek road. So, it is about as far north as you can get in Clark county.
Heidi: Your correction is duly noted and incorporated. (I thought I could 'edit" your comment and correct the post per your suggestions and no one would be the wiser. Unfortunately (for me!) and fortunately for the commenter (you) I have to allow the exposure of my geographic error!!
